High iron results with blood testing08/06/2008 |
Recent bloodwork is showing the following results:Iron, total: 244 Iron Binding Capacity: 291 % Saturation: 84 Ferritin: 52
39 year old female complaining of fatigue, dizzy spells for over a month, lower leg cramping. Do any of the symptoms coincide with high iron count? Does taking the herbal supplement St. John`s Wort have anything to do with the high iron count levels? Thanks very much!
With a current ferritin of 52, you certainly do not have iron overload at this time. I really can't explain your other symptoms.
