Pimple on my labia minora10/24/2008 |
I have a small very round pimple on my labia minora (the inside) and its really round and yellow. The thing is, it never pops, as if there is a thicker layer of skin on top. I`ve had it for about a month and a half now and it just never pops. It doesn`t hurt at all unless i try to pop it. What could it be, and is it dangerous? Should i go to a gynocologist? it would be my first time. Thanks
It sounds like a sebaceous cyst. They are usually firm, painless, yellow in color and about 3-5 mm in diameter. You could watch for changes in the skin or size and seek attention if it changes. You could wait until your annual exam or you could be seen now and have it evaluated. Sometimes, using a warm compress (moderately warm moist washcloth) you can get the cyst to drain spontaneously.
