I have a broken shoulder that is healing but with limited mobility and still very painful. As I am unable to properly stretch for a mamogram, would ultrasound be an effective alternative to skipping a mamogram this year?
Ultrasound is not a sufficient alternative to mammogram. It does not adequately image and often misses calcifications. I would still see if you could have your annual mammogram. There are likely alternative views that can be used to image completely given your limited mobility.
