During my hip replacement, the anesthesiologist awoke me saying I was coughing and choking. Is this normal? After several minutes at which the surgery was ending, he put me out again. I do remember the surgeon pounding the hardware into my hip and then his PA closing and putting in the staples. Is this normal? Thank you.
