Bile in Stomach

10/21/2008

Question:

How can you have bile in the stomach if you have had your gallblader removed?

Answer:

Bile is made by the liver, the gallbladder just stores the bile. After the gallbladder is removed, the liver secretes the bile directly into the intestine rather than into the gallbladder.
