Excessive nocturnal urination11/05/2008 |
I have been diagnosed as having interstitial cystitus. I sometimes get up 6-12 times each nite to urinate. The volume of urine is usually small. I don`t tolerate the usual drugs to control the bladder, since I have Crohns disease(diahrea). Could you suggest a drug or change of eating habits that would help me?
First, the diagnosis of interstitial cystitis is always difficult so you may be better off with a second opinion regarding the certainty that you have IC. The choices for medicines should only be by the urologist that is your treating physican -- but that brings up who is diagnosing and treating you. I think it should be a urologist, and preferably a urologist who is experienced with IC, as many of us are not.
