Donating Blood While Taking Medication12/29/2008 |
I just wanted to know if it was okay to donate blood while taking the prescribed medication (Clomiphene) Clomid. I take it monthly for a 5 day period. The strengt is 50mg and I`m taking 2 a day. I`ve already taken them for this month and it`s nearly time for ovulation??
The clomid would increase your estrogen levels, and there would be metabolites of clomid in your blood stream at this time. I would simply check with your blood bank, as they always ask for a list of any medications that you might be taking before you donate blood.
