Non-painful white roof of mouth11/03/2008 |
The roof of my mouth is almost totally white but it does not hurt and it`s not slimey or anything like that. I have burnt it a few times and the skin on the roof of my mouth peels off when I do. Could that be the problem?
It is possible that burning the roof of your mouth could temporarily cause it to appear whitish. If it stays white after the tissue sluff, it is not normal. It is possible that you have a fungal infection called candidiasis. This is easily treated by your dentist. If it is candidiasis, it often appears on the inside of the cheeks and the tongue.
Visit your dentist to get a diagnosis and receive the proper treatment to clear up this problem.
