CT scan of lungs11/12/2008 |
I recently had a CT scan of my heart. It is enlarged on the right side and the doctor was worried about blood clots. One of the statments on the report said the following. "Lung windows demonstrate acute infiltrate or pulmonary nodule." What does that mean?
It means there was a spot on the lung which could be just about anything such as infection or a benign tumor. I would recommend asking for a referral to a pulmonary doctor to make sure this is appropriately evaluated and followed.
