Root canal pain11/18/2008 |
i had a root canal on wednesday. it is now sunday. i have been swollen and in pain since the procedure. i am taking cephalexin but am still swollen. the pain seems to be in the gum not the tooth. is this normal?

Since it has been approximately 5 days since your initial swelling began, the swelling should be getting better. If it has not changed or is getting worse, you need to see your dentist or endodontist to evaluate your situation.
