Bladder surgery12/03/2008 |
My niece is 7 1/2 years old in the second grade. She has always had problems with her bladder because she is still wetting the bed. Her doctor has tried all sorts of methods and medicine to see if anything would work. Unfortunatley it hasn`t and she is in the second grade and every night still wakes up to a full pull up diaper. Her doctor has mentioned the last method he suggests in sending her for bladder surgery to possibly expand her bladder. What type of surgery is that and how common is this surgery??
Unfortunately, I have no idea what procedure he is referring to. You should also know that bedwetting (known medically as nocturnal enuresis) can be difficult to treat successfully in 7-year-old girls, although usually some form of treatment can be found to improve the situation.
