Blood in stool11/24/2008 |
I am a 24 year old woman with no previous medical problems but I notice every day with a bowel movement i have extreme pain as it passes and the tiolet is filled with red blood. Can this be cancer or hemmoroids?
Your symptoms are consistent with an anal fissure. Try taking a powdered fiber supplement and a small dose of mineral oil daily, to soften and add bulk to stools. If this does not help within a few weeks, please see your doctor for an examination to make sure this is or is not the cause of the problem.
