I am almost nine monthes pregnant, and have a pretty bad flu or cold. Would it be harmful to take theraflu? The ingredients are acetaminophen, pseudoephdrine, dextromethorphan, and chlorpheniramine.
The ingredients you list are considered safe and have been used safely in pregnancy. There has been some controversy in the medical literature about the safety of dextromethorphan in early pregnancy. As with all medications, you should consult your doctor before taking them.
