Baby`s head growth

01/23/2009

Question:

Hi There,

Recently my baby’s pediatrician asked us to get an ultrasound done on the baby`s head as he thinks that baby`s head is big and it is in 97 Percentile.

Here is the head growth on the recent months,

July 24 44 percentile 36.8 cm Aug 18 49 percentile 38.7 cm Dec 17 97 percentile 45.7 cm

The height of the baby is 0.667 meters and weight is 8.275 kg.

After analyzing the ultrasound results, he asked us to get a CT scan done on baby. He mentioned that there are 2 empty spaces in the ultrasound that he thinks could be fluid. The baby behaves perfectly normal and we do not see any abnormalities.

We are very concerned. What could be the issue here and possible cure for this?

Thanks,
