PSA Values

01/07/2009

Question:

Do PSA normal values increase with age? Is a PSA for a man of 80 years the same as for a man of 40?

Answer:

PSA can and often does increase with age. In fact there are age adjusted values so that a 'normal PSA' for a 40 year old man would be different than an 80 year old man.
