Pain when I get radiation treatment01/13/2009 |
every time i get a treatment i get pain in shin and around ankle, numbness on top of foot. now am getting pain up around back of knee. doctor said " you don`t have any pain." they will do nothing about it. this all started since they put the tattoos on my leg. please help me . in august they removed 5 tumors from my leg. had very little pain after the operation but now it is back big time. my surgeon thinks they may be doing nerve damage. would like your thoughts on this. thank you in advance
Your surgeon maybe right on. Are you having the radiation of the pelvic area or the spine? If the radiation involves the sciatic nerve or one of its roots, then you could have this pain. If not, you should seek care with a pain medicine specialist.
