Mouth Diseases

White spots inside lower lip

01/08/2009

Question:

About 1 month ago I had what I think was an allergic reaction to something. I have a doctor appt. next week. But in the meantime, I am curious about my mouth. When I had the problem I was taking omega 3 for 2 weeks prior. My hands started itching and them I work up one day and my lips were swollen. I took benydryl as my Doctor advised. But since then my lips are real white and scaly. And inside my bottom lip are these white round circles. They do not hurt but it feels sort of numb.It is hard to describe, but maybe you can help. Thanks

Answer:

It would be impossible to say what this represents based on your description. If you want the most accurate diagnosis in a timely fashion, you should make an appointment to see an oral pathologist.
