Swollen wrist04/02/2009 |
i was kicked in my hand by a student a few years ago.every now and then my wrist swells and becomes painful.some nights i have to wrap something tight around my wrist to stop it from aching.i tried putting ice on my wrist to help the swelling to go down.i notice that it only does this when i lift something very heavy.any suggestions. the swelling usually last a week or two.what can i do to prevent this? could this be a sign of carpal tunnel?
There are many possible problems. Instability comes to mind. The good news is that most of the problems your might have, including instability, should respond to treatment. I would recommend that you see a hand specialist.
