9 month not sitting01/30/2009 |
my 9half month is still not able to sit unassissted. he was a 34week premmei. he started army crawling by 8 months ans started standing while holding onto furniture by 9 months. in a stroller if we make hinm sit , he sits there and tries to sit himself also while holding it but when i put him down in a sitting position he sits for few sec with his back bending and falls forward or sidewards. he is quite underweight also ()only 6.3 kgs). can u please advise whether i should take him to a physical therapist. thanks in andvance
The best advice is to discuss your concerns with his primary care provider who can examine him, do a developmental assessment and provide more detailed and specific advice than I can.
