my serrum ferritin is 850ng/ml and TS% is 25%.what range of hemochromatosis do i have?
In this situation your doctors have not established a diagnosis as yet. You simply have one abnormal lab which is that the serum ferritin is elevated. This could be due to inflammation as well as possible iron overload. Further workup would require genotyping, looking for the hemochromatosis gene and to rule out other possible causes for why the ferritin might be up, including inflammation.
