Oral cancer and HPV - should I be worried?

Question:

I`m a married woman and was recently diagnosed with HPV. Me and my husband enjoy having oral sex but I just want to know is it possible for him or me to get oral cancer from this and also should I be worried about passing it to my daughter by kissing her? Should we stop having oral sex all together?

Although some pharynx cancers are linked to HPV, currently there are not clear recommendations regarding screening/or modifications of sexual or social behaviors as it relates to oral cancer and HPV.

In general, HPV prevalence is high among the general population, but the rate of oropharynx cancers linked to HPV is low in comparison.
