Green hard stool02/26/2009 |
my 5 month old girl has had green hard stool for a week she had a uti 2 weeks ago she has similac-alimentum and eats gerber rice cereal 1xp day. She sometimes will not go poop for 1-2 a day. I am a 1st time mom and worried
You have several elements in you question.
1.) Hard stools. This can mean many things. True hard stools are pebble-like. Is this the type of stool your infant has?
2.) Why is your child on alimentum? If your child has digestive problems and is followed by a specialist, you need to contact that specialist as there may be special considerations of which I am not aware.
3.) Not everyone has a BM every day. Every one to two days is an average stooling pattern.
I would encourage you to make an appointment with your health care professional to further discuss your concerns.
