Cartilage tear in left knee02/02/2009 |
i just went to an orthopedist and was told i possible have a tear on the out side of my left knee. hes sending me for an mri this weekend. unfortunatley he was rushed and i did not ask him if i should wear a support brace on this until i see him next. i`m in alot of pain and my job requires a lot of standing and bending. i`m not in a positon where i can stay out of work for long. will a brace hurt my condition more?
Without knowing your specific situation, I would recommend calling back to your physician's office to get some guidance with that question because they know more of your history. Typically, braces don't hurt the knee and provide you some support on a short-term basis. Good luck getting back on track!
