Lung Cancer |
3 mm nodule02/10/2009 |
i recently had a cat scan and they found a 3 mm nodule on my right upper lung. everything i have been reading scares me that it might be cancer. i am 27 but i have smoked since i was 12 and i was raised around smokers my whole life. my grandfather also died of lung cancer. what could it be? and how long should i wait to get another cat done?
A nodule that small is very unlikely to be cancer. I would recommend a repeat CT in 4-6 months. I hope this helps.
