If you are asking about local anesthetics per se, there are several on the market. The main differences are in time of onset and duration of local anesthesia. Some come without epinephrine (adrenaline) as well. The choice of local anesthetic is based on many factors including age, medical history, current medications, and type of dental or oral surgical procedure.
