Tingling and Numbness Across Middle of Back

02/18/2009

Question:

Ever since I became pregnant with my first child 4 years ago, I have experienced on and off tingling and numbness across the midsecion of my back. My doctor told me this was pregnancy related, but it`s never gone away, even after pregnancy. There`s no pain, and the sensation lasts a few seconds and then disappears when I shift position. It happens either sitting or standing. What could this be?
