HOW EXERCISE AFFECT YOUR LUNG CAPACITY?
That is a complicated question. The lungs are highly engineered for exercise. Healthy individuals only use 60-70% of their total lung capacity even at maximum exercise. It is difficult to significantly affect your lung capacity to improve exercise performance and the vast majority of improvement or advantage that highly trained athletes have over normal individuals relates to their cardiac system not their respiratory system.
