Root Canals

Pain

02/19/2009

Question:

I got a root canal on my front tooth a year and a half ago. The tooth tends to hurt once in a while if i tap it, i has happened several times, is that normal?

Answer:

There may be altered sensations with teeth that have had root canal therapy. If it just feels a little different from the rest of your teeth, that can be normal. If you are having pain or if the frequency of such sensations changes, I would recommend an evaluation by an endodontist.
