Question about braces

Question:

I am 26 years old. I am un-happy with my smile. I really need braces. I understand that you cannot just go get them. I haven`t been to the dentist for about five years. I do have dental insurance, but also know that they are very expensive.. I am so disappointed with my smile, it is really hard for me socially. I NEVER smile in pictures. I just dont know where to begin. Any advice would be great

Answer:

Find an orthdontist in your area, make an appointment, and ask him/her for the recommendation of a good dentist in your area. Also ask what they would recommend as to your smile.

Make sure that anyone straightening your teeth is a trained orthodontist. If you need the name of someone in your area, contact the American Association of Orthodontists in St. Louis, MO.
