Post-pulmonary embolus damage03/02/2009 |
had multipul pulmonary embulis, congestive heart failure,after surgery. now am being told i have extensive emphysema and a cicatrical lesion that has grown 9 cm in a year. is the emph. a connected result of the branch blockage of the embulus that was left unattended for several monts?
It is very unlikely that the emphysema is related to the pulmonary emboli. Emphysema is almost always caused by cigarette smoking.
