Crowns, Bridges, Dentures, Implants
Is it possible to give an estimate of what a resin bridge may cost. This bridge would have to replace on missing tooth and one hemi section tooth. Have a crown right now.
What is a hemi section procedure?
By "resin bridge" you may be referring to an "acid-etched, resin-retained bridge" a.k.a. "bonded bridge" or " Maryland bridge"? If so, it may be slightly less costly than a conventional bridge, but wouldn't normally be recommended for the back of the mouth.
If it is a conventional-type bridge, but made from resin (plastic), it should only be suggested as a "temporary" for no more than 6 months (normally much less).
A hemi-sected tooth is a molar tooth that has been sectioned into two pieces, normally because of significant bone loss around one of the roots. The infected root is removed and the remaining root and "half tooth" is restored as a bicuspid size tooth. This procedure is much less commonly done today because of the success of contemporary dental implants.
