I have to see a Hematologists because I have a very high white blood count for 6 months now. What is normaly done at the first appointment besides the regular patients history? What can I expect?

This really varies from doctor to doctor depending on the degree to which increased white count blood will be drawn along with the history and physical exam. Then the doctor will decide if anything else is necessary.
