Unable to Empty Bladder03/10/2009 |
I had a vaginal hysterectomy, bladder lift and tact, and a bladder sling surgery 3 weeks ago. I still cannot empty my bladder. This is scaring me. What can be done?
It is not that unusual to have urinary retention following your extensive pelvic surgery. It may take a while, be patient. Meanwhile, talk to your surgeon. If condition lasts too long, it is due to overcorrection and one should consider appropriate surgery for that.
