What Foods Cause Fat Collection Areas?

What foods put fat on thighs, buttocks and abdomen?

Thanks for your question. The body does not necessarily accumulate fat in certain areas of the body. Fat gets accumulated equally around the body. ANY foods (or excess calories) eaten in excess can cause the body to store fat, but in general, foods highest in fat (such as fried foods, most fast foods, desserts, ice cream, bacon, whole milk dairy products, high fat meats, etc) will most likely increase fat storage in the body. Fat is not used as energy in the body (except during exercise) and therefore is stored more easily than protein or carbohydrates. Alcohol consumption can also increase fat storage (especially in the abdomen). Unfortunately, there are not exercises to `spot` reduce these areas, but you may want to meet with a personal trainer to learn more about which exercises can tone these areas. Good luck!
