Children's Health

Menstrual cycle

04/07/2009

Question:

My daughter is 12 and she has not started her period yet.

Answer:

That is not unusual, as 12 is about the average age that a young girl will start her periods.  What that means in a practical sense is that half of the girls will be older when they start their periods.
