Is Lip Discoloration Normal?03/19/2009 |
Several years ago my lower lip started changing colors. First it felt irritated, then it started peeling, and now it's a discolored pink with black spots. I`m a African American Female and wonder if there is a cure for this?
It would be difficult to say exactly what is going on without doing an examination; however, variations in pigmentation (both increased and decreased pigmentation) can occur in persons of color. Ideally, you should make an appointment to see an oral pathologist for evaluation.
