cAN YOU EXPLAIN WHAT IS MEANT BY "luminal compromise` and how it is related to stenosis of the carotid?
Hello. Luminal compromise means narrowing of a lumen. This would be in reference to the degree of narrowing (stenosis) inside the artery. A 50% stenosis of the carotid artery means 50% of the area where blood flows through in the vessel is blocked. Keep in mind these percentages are not absolute and determined by judgment and many aspects of the study. Take care!
