Breast nodule05/11/2009 |
I have been told I have a complex hypoechoic nodule that is 5 mm. They are going to doa fine needle biopsy. The nurse told me this is a solid. How can they do a FNA?
FNA can be done to drain cysts, but it can also be used to sample solid nodules. The cells withdrawn can be examined by a cytopathologist.
