Torn ligaments04/28/2009 |
Yes i just found out that i have a tore left ligments the doc told me to where orthericks and a good sneaker but my ankle has been swallon for a long time and i was wondering if a operation would help
Thank you for your question. Typically, torn ankle ligaments don't require surgery, but you can experience pain and swelling for a long time after your injury, depending on the severity of the injury. I would continue to do as your doctor recommends and see how your ankle responds. If you have continued pain and swelling, you may want to return for a follow up visit to ask about other treatment options.
Good Luck!
