04/28/2009

Question:

What can cause reoccuring muscle spasms and cramps in legs?

Answer:

Many conditions may cause cramping in the lower extremity. A common cause seen frequently in athletics is dehydration, which may or may not be associated with environmental heat stress. When having symptoms such as this, it is important to consult with your family physician to rule out more serious health issues.
