Flattening of Lower Back04/30/2009 |
What does it mean if your daughter was told that she has flattening of her lower back?
Hello, thank you for your question. Unfortunately, I'm not sure I can answer this with such limited information. How old is she? Who told her this, and was it based on x-rays? Does she have back pain? Has she had back surgery? There are too many possible interpretations of what this means. Sometimes after back surgery people develop a 'flat back deformity' that can cause chronic pain. Sometimes people are born with abnormal curvatures of their spines. The list goes on. Please provide more information and I might be able to be of more help.
