Clear discharge during intercourse?

06/04/2009

Question:

During sex last night, I experienced a rush of clear fluid from my vagina-we estimated 2-3 tablespoons. I`ve heard of female ejaculation, and wondered if that was it. This has never happened to me before, and it was very surprising!

Answer:

There is no way to tell, but female ejaculation does occur. The fluid comes from the urethra, the same place urine exits the bladder. Some women do have the leakage of urine that can be mistaken for ejaculation. If it occurred on an otherwise empty bladder, then it may be the later. It occurs at the time of orgasm, and occurs when a woman experiences an intense orgasm and is relaxed.
