recently, a tooth appears to be erupting un my upper jaw. I am 36 and have a full set of teeth, including 4 wisdom teeth so this has come as a bit of a surprise. it is not painful or annoying at this time but I feel that it will become noticable and unsightly! what causes these, what can be done?
On rare occasions, some people can have extra teeth including fourth molars (behind the wisdom teeth). Based on what you have told me, I would assume this to be true. If there isn't a purpose for this tooth, it could simply be extracted. Please consult with your dentist to have an x-ray made for further evaluation.
