can numbness in the feet be corrected or is it permanent? And what would be the treatment for it?
Numbness in the feet may result from a variety of conditions - diabetes is the one that people think of most often but is by no means the only cause. It can frequently be reversible but not always, depending on the cause and where the person is in the natural history of the problem (largely how long they have had it). The best treatments include reversing or controlling the underlying disease process. There are symptomatic treatments for painful neuropathy but not much that is effective for numbness which is usually an earlier stage of the disease, apart, again, from controlling the underlying disease process.
