Steroid induced diabetes

06/15/2009

Question:

what are the treatment options for steroid induced diabetes, especcially in a patient with hepatic failure

Answer:

Treatment options for steroid-induced diabetes include all those used for diabetes in general.  The more a situation is complicated by failure of an organ system involved in drug metabolism, the more likely it is that insulin will be the best choice.
