What condition is associated with symptoms?07/09/2009 |
Diagnosis is a lower than normal pressure (less than 100) in the bowels. Symptoms include loss of bowel control. Dr. does not know name of condition and has not recommended a treatment. Do you know the name of the condition so I can research it?
Sounds like anal manometry was done and found low sphincter pressures. This simply means the anal sphincter is not strong. Sometimes this responds to physical therapy; other times surgery is needed to regain continence, especially if an operative or obstetric injury is present.
