Air When Urinating07/14/2009 |
I had surgery a week ago. They removed my gallbladder and did a nissen fundoplication (wrapping of the stomach for reflux). Last night I was urinating and toward the end air came out. It has been happening again today. Is this normal or could there be complications from the surgery?
It is possible that you had a catheter in during the procedure and air may have been introduced into the bladder then. Sometimes bladder infections can also be associated with air. I would suggest that you get in touch with your surgeon to examine you and check a urinalysis.
