Loss of Sense of Smell As One Gets Older08/11/2009 |
My daughter swears that this happens as one gets to the geriatric stage. Is this true? thank you
Most of our senses begin to deteriorate as we get older, although of course this is quite variable. However, a significant diminution in the sense of smell usually does not begin to occur until one is in his or her 70's.
