2 nodules 1 calcified and 1 of 4 mm noncalci08/11/2009 |
HI, I AMD WORRIED BECAUSE LAST MONTH MAKE A CT SCAN, THEY FOUND 2 NODULES IN MY RIGHT LUNG, 1 CALCIFIED AND THE OTHER OF 4 mm NONCALCIFIED NODULE, THE DOC SAID THE 4mm nodule is benign, and we will need to make another ct scan on a year. how you or the doc can be sure of that? thanks .
The 4mm nodule is likely benign. The chance that this is cancer is less than 5% depending on your history. We usually follow these small nodules with a Chest CT in 6-12 months.
I hope this helps.
