Enlargement of Kidney08/31/2009 |
My husband was in Vietnam and has type 2 diabetes. He also has an enlarged kidney. The VA has determined that his diabetes is connected to agent orange. Could either or both of these be the reason his kidney is enlarged? If so is there any information or case studies that we can read?
I am not sure if both kidneys are enlarged or only one. Often in diabetes the kidneys (both) are enlarged. Agent Orange alone has not been known to cause kidney enlargement. If only one kidney is enlarged then you need to discuss the possible reasons with the doctor because further testing may need to be done.
